Brent on his way to Eagle

With the handlers on their way to Dawson, there is little to report other than what I gather from the Yukon Quest web site and the News-Miner. Brent left Slaven's cabin this morning at 6:13 am, 2 minutes after Dan Kaduce, and 3 hours after Lance Mackey. He dropped 2 more dogs...I'll let you know as soon as I find out who. So down to 10 dogs, Brent is still in the lead pack.

On a side note, Aren, Kyla, and Mark stopped at our (Aren and mine) house in Fairbanks late last night before the long drive to Dawson. They all seemed well rested and in good spirits. They said Brent is doing well and very upbeat...I think I heard in one news report that he's the most "chipper" musher. Dan Bross of KUAC described him as "loud and enthusiastic". Keep smiling and wagging your tails!!!
