Hello again sorry it has been awhile since my last update but race season is upon us and it is getting busy. It already been a weeks since the Solstice 100 I cant believe it. The race went well for both Kyla and I. I finished 5th and Kyla 20th out of 30 mushers. It was Kylas first race and she really did a good job. Both teams were happy and healthy at the finish line. the whole experience was great. Because we are the only dog teams in Eureka we dont get any exposer to other dog teams. So being out on the trail with 30 other teams really go the dogs amped up. I passed 13 teams so we got some good practice passing as well. Silver was the man an really proved again that he loves racing. I expected to have him back in the team where he has been training because he doesnt set a fast enough pass but when it comes to race time he really shines. Well one week later I am back in town. I just arrived from Eureka tonight, and will be heading down to Paxson for the Gin GIn 200 tomorrow. Kyla stayed back in Eureka with our friend Mindy to run the other dogs so I am solo on this trip. I am really excited to hit the race trail again. This time with even more teams. There are 51 teams signed up so there is going to be alot of excited dogs. Basically every competitive dog musher in the state is signed up so this is a good test to see how we stack up with the best in the Business. I was the last one to sign up so i will be going out number 51 so I think we are going to get some more passing practice. Which is a good thing it is one of the big reasons for getting out to these races. I better get to bed it is 1am and about 25 degrees in my cabin, but the fire is roaring so by morning it should be toasty warm. Heres the line up for the Gin GIn.
