The Dogs

Thanks for visiting "The Dogs" section of the our website, Here you can get a closer look at the Wild and Free Athletes that we will be training for the upcoming 2012-13 race season. Not only can you learn more about the individual dogs and what makes each of them an important member to the team, but you can also chose to sponsor a dog for the 2012-13 season. Your sponsorship will go directly to supporting your individual dog and the needs he or she has throughout the race season. As the season progresses you will be able to follow the Wild and Free teams, and your dog's progress, as he or she fights for a spot on the 2013 Yukon Quest and iditarod Race Teams. As well as other mid distance races. This season I have 25 dogs in the main string its an amazing group of dogs that I am eager to train.  Because I dont have a handler here in Eureka this season I have 15 yearlings training with Mandy Nauman (Douglas Fir Mushing) in fairbanks and a set of young dogs learning the ropes with Hey Moose! Kennel in Healy.  I cant thank Douglas Fir and Hey Moose Kennels for training up the future of WIld and Free this season! We invite you to take a closer look at the talented group of dogs that make up the Wild and Free team this season. You can also meet the 2013 Wild and Free Pups who are the future of our team. Check back for new pics and updates on each dog.
